AURELIO

Impressioni - Aurelio But that summer is this? We have not just apt, says Aurelio watching the leaden sky and putting the tarpaulin for shelter from a wind annoying that plunges this day in mid-August in a typical winter scenery. Meanwhile, the smaller of the two children of the couple of French tourists with an intensity inaudible screams and inexhaustible, helping to create a climate of despair and resignation. And then what? Raffaele you're the skipper, Let us listen from your lips, why do not we do the miracle? Miracles do not know how to do but if we ridossiamo from parts of the Gulf of Tendril, for the afternoon the weather gives us an improvement and maybe we can take a bath and we are a bit 'more peaceful. AO, I'd do me a nice magnata! Adds Aurelio in perfect Roman accent, now the menu board what it provides? We make a risotto with saffron, follows a caprese, fruit, coffee and almond biscuits with vin santo. Very Well! And what do you think Valerie? Oui, oui, c'est bon. But the little Maximilien rekindles h is siren and we pierce the eardrums for five minuiti. AO, I will throw down at sea, but nun if some '. If i find the switch, turn it off! This damn sirocco strengthens. Via the mainsail and we go on a reach only with a bow. Six knots. Not bad. But it's really cold. At noon we arrive in the harbor and a timid ray of sun starts to get space in the clouds. Leeward is much better and the weather we got it, is slowly coming out of a bright sun. All kids to swim. Beautiful here, lovely place, that peace! He had never said. UU ..UUU ...... ...... ...... .UUUU., Oh hang up! Thank goodness, you guys are ready, you eat! Aurelio leaves the water, mounted on the stern platform approaches Maximilien and with a look between the good-natured and appealing and says, boys, and daie! Nu 'whimper, magna!

GAETANO

Impressioni - Gaetano, barca a vela in toscana This is the story of how it ended our cruise that had as objective to wipe from Elba to take advantage of a dinner plate that had as strong a succulent roast grouper. We chose the lily as the last point, because everyone wanted to see the Concordia already partly resurfaced, attached to floating caissons, just days before it was brought to his new destination. In the port there is no possibility to enter and with this Mistral annoying decide to ridossarci Giannutri where we spend a quiet night. In the morning we go back and just before giving the bottom of the cove Cannelle we call Pino, chef of the Tavern of Porto Azzurro which informs us the rare opportunity to enjoy a three-pound grouper, freshly caught. Do not you run away! And 'our Pino! We make a variation to the navigation plan and instead of pointing directly to Punta Ala, tonight we are with you, all happy to see you again after the previous stop made last Saturday, before going in Capraia. We talk on the phone to give you confirmation of the arrival. The day is beautiful and the wind dropped. Disembark with the dinghy and we walk in the country. There is a large movement of tourists armed with cameras that are positioned on the rocks, as close as possible to the giant dead or almost wanting to physically touch, so it is close. Aperitif, bathroom, sun, even the bathroom and then lunch. Inevitable nap. Guys it's late! Runway, if you do not go away immediately before nine did not arrive. Among the tender put in water and land before ten we are not at the table. Call to Pino to warn him that well give away the table for the first round. The wind leaves us increasingly turns well and we bow. So we end up going to the engine and arrive in the harbor with the last ray of light of this Friday in late July. Let's move, it is very late. But the rush is not good counselor. Gaetano goes forward and engages the halyard locking line to the tender. Via the electric winch fast. Now falls flat. Sboing! , Booom! Pu ... slut. ! The bowline opened and the halyard tension had an elastic effect and it went to twist masthead blocking pen genoa. Tomorrow morning we will evaluate with light, now we think of our grouper. The tender is in free water and overturned. Fortunately we had not turned off the engine and operating the bow thruster can to approach and to hook it with the boat hook. Now there is to shoot it, empty it from the water and dry it. At this time it did not take prpio. Pass me the engine. It will not start. As part? Maybe it was flooded. 22.45. The stomach gurgles. Crew morale is at its lowest. Try and try again. Nothing to do, none of it. You see that is not the evening. Call Pine and feel if someone sends us up. He said he sends us the Coast Guard! By no joking. Pass me the torch that I remove the cover. But look at you. How did this lever to disengage the air that kept him virtually flooded automatically. Now or never. Last attempt. Immense cloud of smoke. Come on, is the party! Screams of joy. Who takes the win. Please hold on, do not turn off! 11.15 were finally seated at the table. Michael's brother Pino makes a joke. Sorry guys, I tried to hold her back, but the grouper got fed up of waiting ten minutes ago and decided to go home. By not making 'dawg! Faccela see! What a show, go now to put it in the oven. Better late than never!

ELENA

Impressioni - Elena, barca a vela in toscana We arrived at Punta Ala in the late afternoon but at 19.00 it was still possible to go out to catch the last evening breeze. Eight knots of wind. We had a gentle crossing in the direction of Cala Violina where we arrived just in time to have dinner at sunset. Very romantic. The place was deserted. It was fantastic to have the bay all to ourselves. We lay stargazing on the deck with a coffee. Three days later was the night of San Lorenzo and we didn't see another soul. It was immensely peaceful with the silence broken by just a few waves. I felt really free and far from the hectic pace of my daily life. The relationship with the sea and nature makes me immensely happy. On returning to the harbour we saw that the light bulb in the masthead didn't work. Raffaele asked me if , the next day I felt like climbing up there to change it. Luckily, I work as an acrobat so I have absolutely no issue with having a go at this! For me the main point of this trip was to stay at sea as much as possible because I absolutely love it.

ALESSIA

Impressioni - Alessia, barca a vela in toscana Here are my impressions of a week's holiday in Elba onboard NOI SI VA . We sailed anti-clockwise because there was mistral and Raffaele told us this was so we would have a more comfortable pace. And thank goodness it was. I suffer a little from seasickness , but after the first day, perhaps due to the comfort of a large boat, everything went fine. Calmly and with no rush I saw places of unique beauty. The wind varied in intensity , but never completely dropped . We passed San Andrea and we opened the gennaker that took us nicely to Lacona . The Medici port of Portoferraio is a gem surrounded by a natural amphitheatre . Marciana Marina was also very nice, very much alive and buzzing. Then we spent a beautiful night at Margidore and wonderful swimming at l'Innamorata . I quickly made friends with the other participants and after a week we had become a real crew. Raphael got us to cooperate in some tasks but it wasn't obligatory. I had to check the adjustment of the mainsail and I really enjoyed this. At the end of the trip we stopped in some charming bays such as Cala Mola and Straccoligno . On the last night we went to dinner at the Tavern of Porto Azzurro. We ate a wonderful fish cooked all'elbana , with a real taste of salt and the sea ! I have some wonderful memories of this holiday and I would do it again tomorrow!

SIMONE

Impressioni - Simone, barca a vela in toscana We were in Marciana at the wheel because we arrived late and at that time of year it was impossible to find a place in the harbour. We were preparing to go to bed at almost midnight when Raffaele's phone rang. It was Francesca , one of his daughters, telling him that she was on her way to the hospital to give birth! (Little Bianca was born a few hours later). Obviously this meant that the holiday would have to be cut short and after a brief meeting in the cockpit we decided to leave early the next morning , which gave Raffaele time to get to Florence by lunch time. We woke at 5am. We slipped out of the harbour on the smoothest water ever seen. Absolutely no wind. We used the engine while the sun was coming up. In the foreground was the blue surface of the sea, behind was the jet black outline of the island with a crimson sun just beginning to rise. Magical and unique. It was worth waking up that early to enjoy this wonderful show. We had breakfast in the cockpit and it was as steady as if we were sitting in a cafe. Starboard we now had the Enfola , the engine was at 3200 rpm , speed 7 knots , no sails. I never thought that 'sailing' like this could be so nice.
